Led Zeppelin Wins 'Stairway To Heaven' Copyright Case

Led Zeppelin just scored a major victory in a legal battle over "Stairway To Heaven". On Monday, the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals upheld a verdict that the riff from "Stairway" did not infringe on the 1968 song "Taurus" by the band Spirit. The legal battle had been going on since 2014. Not only is the case a big win for Zeppelin, it's expected to be a landmark decision in copyright cases going forward. Do you think it's possible "Stairway To Heaven" was inspired by "Taurus"? Is it possible to borrow an idea without infringing on the copyright?
