Special Events

Bradford - Independence Day Fair - July 3 - First Baptist Church of Bradford, 88 Main Street. Fair will feature a handmade quilt raffle, silent auction, many outside vendors, coffee, donuts and baked goods, "Kids Fun Run", children's activities, family and musical entertainment including the "Kearsarge Community Band", family scavenger hunt, luncheon, huge barn sale and more. In conjunction with Bradford's all day Independence Day celebration.

Gorham - A weekend-long celebration on the Town Common - Celebration of our great country with a midway carnival, fantastic live music, a chili and chowder cook-off, horseshoe tournament, a duck race, parades, classic car show, and fireworks. Lots of fun for the entire family from June 30th through July 4th!

Hopkinton - Fourth of July Celebration - Family Fun Day - July 4, 12:30 p.m. - Kids' parade, Independence Day parade, face painting, games, 5K Fun Run, bake sale, live music, wagon rides and more.

Lincoln/Woodstock: - July 4 - Fourth of July Celebration starts off with Family Games at the Kancamagus Recreation Area. Make sure to arrive on time as the games begin promptly at 10 a.m. and are immediately followed by a BBQ lunch that you won't want to miss out on. At 2 p.m. there will be a Patriotic Parade starting in N. Woodstock and continuing on Rt. 112 through Lincoln. Free concert at 7 p.m. by the St. Johnsbury Band at Woodstock Common followed by fireworks in Lincoln on Main Street at dusk.

Ossipee - July 4, Community Fair - 11:30 a.m., downtown parade, giant yard sale, crafts, pony rides, children's games, horseshow pitching, Citizen of the Year award, food and more!

Pittsburg: dusk, Murphy Dam. Come check out the flea market, crafters and artists. Visit with some friends, and let the kids enjoy a pony ride. The Kids Fishing Derby is held at the Kids Pond. Watch a ballgame in the afternoon, and enjoy a BBQ and live music.

Portsmouth - 12-5 p.m., Strawbery Banke - An American Celebration - Celebrate four centuries of American history with a real old-fashioned fabulous 4th of July! Complete with a children's decorated bike and wagon parade, traditional games and crafts for all ages, demonstratons of barrel making, 18th century hearth cooking demonstrations, revolutionary and civil war re-enactors, a 1940s candy counter, spinning & weaving demonstrations, giant kite flying, historic garden tours, live music, living history exhibits, food and fun for all.

Rochester: - "Night Before the Fouth" - The Journey Church will host the "Night before the 4th" Fireworks display in Rochester. Rochester Fair Grounds. Held in association with the Rochester Fair Association. Gates will open at 1 p.m. The day will host a variety of exhibit areas, food vendors, arts & crafts, games, live entertainment. Opening Ceremonies, at 7 p.m., will include many patriot organizations, and if weather permits a parachute jump by Skydive New England. The fireworks should begin at 9:30 p.m. Admission to the event is free, however, we are asking for non-perishable food as donation to the local food pantry.

Waterville Valley - "Independence Day Family Festival" — Fourth of July fun sponsored by the Recreation Department but happening in Town Square - games, T-shirt tie-dying, 100' obstacle course, Fireman's BBQ, bounce house, live music, dunk tank, and more. Also, a free evening concert in Town Square. Schedule subject to change.
